Rumors that we could see the Amazon Kindle 4 release date within the next few weeks are growing. These are being fuelled largely by the fact that Amazon has dropped the price for refurbished Kindle 3 readers to just $ 99.99.

That’s a pretty good deal for the market leading ebook reader. The refurbished models are mostly returns which people either changed their minds about or received as unwanted gifts. Unless you’re very unlucky, you should receive a reader which is indistinguishable from a brand new one. Even if there is anything wrong with it, a scuff or a mark for example, Amazon has a very good returns policy and you should get your money back fairly easily.

Or maybe you would prefer to wait a few weeks and see if the drop in refurbished reader prices is, as many predict, a precursor to the release of a new Kindle 4 reader.
